

Subway is an American multinational fast-food franchise specializing in submarine sandwiches (subs), wraps, and salads, founded in 1965 by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck in Bridgeport, Connecticut. With more than 37,000 locations across over 100 countries, it is the largest single-brand restaurant chain in the world by number of outlets. Subway was acquired by private equity firm Roark Capital in 2024.
